Why we built it
Every listed company in the top 1000 files a BRSR. Buried in Principle 2 is a table for products and packaging reclaimed at end of life, and a question about whether the company's waste collection plan matches the EPR plan it filed with the Pollution Control Boards. Those disclosures are public, machine-readable and almost never read.
We read them, all of them, and put them side by side.
Who compiles it
ReCirculytics is an EPR compliance advisory and analytics firm. We file EPR annual returns across every active Indian waste stream, which means we read these disclosures against what the same obligations look like on the regulator's portal.
That is the basis on which EPR IQ is compiled. It is not an ESG rating, and we do not score anyone.
What we do not do
- We do not classify companies into sectors. Comparables come from the NIC codes each company filed against its own products.
- We do not estimate, apportion or restate. A filed zero shows as zero; an unfiled row stays blank.
- We do not rate or score. There is no ranking and no grade.
- We do not derive compliance percentages. BRSR never collects quantity introduced into the market, so no fulfilment ratio can be computed from it.
Corrections
If a figure here does not match your filing, tell us. Every request is checked against the source document, and every applied correction is dated on the changelog. Corrections are never applied silently.
What is in it
EPR IQ holds 1,607 companies across 2,894 filings, FY 2021-22 to FY 2025-26. 93 of them (6%) have four or more years on file. 1,151 have no FY 2025-26 filing on record yet. Last updated 3 October 2026.
Coverage is uneven, and deliberately shown as such. A company missing a year has either not filed it or has filed it since we last loaded. Neither is the same as reporting nothing, and the comparison tool distinguishes the two.
